USA-based startup founded by two passionate entrepreneurs in the tech industry. With the vision of creating a more meaningful dating experience, they aimed to develop a social dating app targeting young professionals seeking networking opportunities and relationships beyond casual encounters.
The startup faced several hurdles in its early stages. With a very small initial user base, gaining traction and attracting a critical mass of users proved challenging. Additionally, ensuring user safety was paramount, particularly in managing concerns about online catfishers and fake profiles.
Beyond safety, the app needed to facilitate convenient connections that went beyond simple swiping, while also encouraging users to develop meaningful relationships that could potentially lead offline.

- Facilitated discovery workshops, to rapidly brainstorm and prioritize solutions with the team. Accelerated development by creating rapid prototypes to gather customer feedback, validate hypotheses and minimize risks while ensuring to meet customer and business needs.
- Assisted stakeholders in prioritizing the product roadmap using market and user data insights. Defined product metrics aligned with business objectives and monitored them to extract actionable insights.
- Managed the design backlog in Asana, breaking down user stories into actionable tasks and preparing documentation for engineers.
- Increased conversion and user engagement by conducting usability testing, analyzing user behavior with MixPanel, Google Analytics and UXCam, and gathering feedback through user interviews to validate solutions and iteratively improve the user experience and optimize the onboarding process.
